Maintenance Technician Job Description

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify equipment malfunctions
  • Apply knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles to restore equipment to operation
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams and other maintenance personnel
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment-related issues
Requirements:
  • Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program in a relevant field
  • Three to five years of experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields
  • HP Maintenance Certificate with preference on series 2 and 3 presses
  • Electricians License preferred
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
  • Regularly required to talk and hear
  • Very active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
  • Frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
