CRNA - Anesthesia Specialist

Administers anesthesia and anesthesia-related care under the direction of a physician. Monitors and supports life functions. Acts as the patient's advocate while the patient is under anesthesia.
Responsibilities- Delivers high-quality anesthesia care to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Prepares the operating room with anesthesia-related equipment and supplies prior to each procedure.
- Inspects anesthesia machines and equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Collaborates with anesthesiologists to choose the best anesthetic for each patient.
- Maintains accurate anesthesia records.
- Provides airway maintenance expertise throughout the hospital.
- Trains and mentors students as needed.
- Participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Supports employee participation in quality improvement processes.
- Develops and implements anesthesia plans of care.
- Performs patient assessments prior to anesthesia administration.
- Supervises SRNAs during all phases of anesthesia care.
- Provides learning opportunities for SRNAs.
- Evaluates SRNA clinical performance.
The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment, or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.
Specifically, the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patient.

- Performs work in a cost-effective manner.
- Performs work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies.
- Follows organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Associate's Degree (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required) Within 1 year of hire
- Basic Life Support (Required) Within 30 days of hire
- Cert Reg Nurse Anes (Required)
