Job Title: Genetic Counselor II

We are seeking a highly skilled Genetic Counselor II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Genetic Counselor II, you will be responsible for providing genetic counseling to patients referred to our program who may be at risk for a hereditary condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide genetic counseling to patients and their families on all genetic testing related matters, including risk assessment, overview of genetic testing, test results and implications, and suggested follow-up.
  • Counsel patients on the clinical applications and standards necessary to provide comprehensive, current genetic services and counseling.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in genetic counseling and apply this knowledge to provide high-quality care to patients.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Genetic Counseling or a related field.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience in genetic counseling.
  • CGC-Certified Genetic Counselor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
