About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team at BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital in Marrero, LA.

As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for filling orders with accuracy, checking technician-prepared products before release, maintaining the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances, and entering orders and patient information with accuracy.

You will also aid in the training of new staff, update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy, and assist the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

About the Facility/Pharmacy

BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital West Jefferson is a Long Term Acute Care facility that specializes in providing acute care to medically complex and critically ill patients who require longer hospital stays.

Our pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm, and Saturday/Sunday from 8:00am-Noon, and utilizes Omnicell dispensing cabinets and EPIC EMR.

Required Qualifications
  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current Pharmacist license in good standing in LA
  • Experience as a Pharmacist, hospital setting preferred
  • EPIC and Omnicell experience is a plus
