Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Human Factors Scientist to join our Human Factors Practice in New York, NY, and Menlo Park, CA. As a key member of our team, you will analyze human performance related to various scenarios, including automobiles, occupational work, and consumer products.

Responsibilities
  • Manage consulting activities involving usability testing, study and survey design, human factors in accidents and their prevention.
  • Develop client contacts and work on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Conduct research to obtain and review technical data, scientific literature, and standards.
  • Participate in the design and evaluation of warnings and safety information.
  • Provide project management for multiple projects, including managing budgets and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Vision Science, Developmental, Experimental, Industrial, or Cognitive Psychology, or a related psychology discipline.
  • Strong record demonstrating ability to design behavioral studies using human subjects and database research methods.
  • Experience leading multiple scientific studies from start to finish.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Assertive, self-starter, and able to work with accuracy under pressure and/or deadlines.
  • Proficiency in statistics and computer programming (specifically SPSS, Matlab, Python, or R).
