General Overview:
The role involves providing comprehensive project management assistance to Project Managers through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document management, and cost forecasting. Collaborate with company superintendents, foremen, engineers, detailers, and management to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality and profitable projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the bidding process and the acquisition of new projects.
2. Estimate and negotiate adjustments to contracts.
3. Monitor, forecast, and report on labor hours and material expenses.
4. Manage the procurement of major equipment and subcontractors.
5. Oversee and track the delivery of essential equipment and materials.
6. Maintain a thorough understanding of project contracts and specifications.
7. Ensure document control complies with UMC Standards and contractual obligations.
8. Work alongside field supervisors to plan, organize, and schedule project tasks, including the preparation of integrated project schedules.
9. Review and analyze contract drawings, detailed specifications, and project requirements.
10. Prepare work packages for fabrication shops, including detailed drawing assessments, material take-offs, and fabrication budgeting.
11. Uphold compliance with UMC's Safety Program at all job sites.
12. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential components of this role.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Foster and maintain client relationships.
2. Enhance and retain knowledge of mechanical systems, including engineering, estimating, construction practices, and financial management.

Ability to accurately estimate mechanical work.
Ability to lead and cultivate a positive work environment.
Ability to comprehend and communicate fundamental mechanical concepts.
Advanced organizational and time management capabilities.

Proficient in advanced computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Project, Access, and AutoCAD.

Education and Experience Requirements:
A degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
Licensing or Certifications:
Must maintain a valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
