We are a leading dairy manufacturer with over 23 years of experience, producing high-quality yogurt products and other dairy items. Our team is seeking a skilled Packing Operator to join our facility in Frederick County, Virginia.

About the Role

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 4 pm, with possible overtime

Pay: $18/hour

As a Packing Operator at our yogurt processing facility, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining packing equipment to ensure efficient and accurate packaging of yogurt products.

  • Machine Operation:
    • Operate packing equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to package yogurt products efficiently and accurately.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Follow quality control policies and procedures to ensure packaged products meet established standards.
    • Conduct visual inspections of packaged products for defects or abnormalities and take corrective action as needed.
    • Monitor packaging materials, such as film or containers, for proper alignment and functionality.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating packing equipment and working in the production area.
    • Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near misses immediately to the appropriate personnel.
    • Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth coordination of packing activities.
    • Communicate effectively with other departments, such as quality assurance and maintenance, to address any production-related issues or concerns.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience operating packing equipment or similar machinery in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and SOPs accurately.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
