About the Opportunity

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Civil Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure projects, including civil site design, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading engineering projects, guiding junior staff, and participating in business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee engineering design processes and ensure adherence to project specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with regional SWCA offices to deliver effective solutions tailored to local contexts.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews of project deliverables to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for business growth by fostering client relationships and participating in professional networking groups.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in the state of Pennsylvania, or the ability to obtain via reciprocity.
  • Proven prior work experience in one or more of the following states: Ohio, West Virginia, and New York.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience exceeding 10 years in civil engineering, with a specialization in civil/stormwater design.
  • Additional Professional Engineer (PE) License in surrounding Pennsylvania states.
  • Demonstrated prior experience in supporting business development initiatives and client management.

An employee in this Pittsburgh, PA-based position can expect a salary of $112,320.00 to $143,520.00/year. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
