Primary Objective: To ensure the cleanliness and organization of all guest accommodations in line with the standards established by Temecula Creek Inn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly clean and arrange all designated guest rooms within the specified time frame each day.
  • Meet and exceed the performance and cleanliness benchmarks set by the hotel's Housekeeping Department, which includes completing the required number of rooms while adhering to quality expectations.
  • Execute all routine housekeeping tasks as directed.
  • Restock linens and amenities in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Perform general cleaning duties (such as carpet shampooing, window cleaning, and furniture relocation) and special projects as assigned by management, ensuring timely completion without compromising regular cleaning responsibilities.
  • Accurately record room status and cleaning progress using the daily assignment device as instructed.
  • Assist fellow Room Attendants in fulfilling daily work assignments as needed.
  • Maintain the linen closet's organization as directed by Housekeeping Management.
  • Ensure all exterior pathways and communal areas are free from litter, debris, and other unsightly materials.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests as assigned by management.
  • Keep the supply cart organized at all times.
  • Report maintenance issues to management and/or Engineering for prompt resolution, following up to ensure completion.
  • Provide a secure environment for guests and colleagues by ensuring all guest rooms are locked and that all assigned keys are managed according to departmental procedures.
  • Immediately report any suspicious individuals or situations to management for investigation.
  • Safeguard guest confidentiality.
  • Maintain the integrity of the housekeeping closet by ensuring doors remain closed and locked at all times.
  • Complete all assigned tasks in compliance with safety protocols established by Temecula Creek Inn.
  • Promptly report any hazardous or unsafe conditions to a supervisor for investigation and follow-up.
  • Engage with guests, supervisors, and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • Utilize all cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with the procedures set forth by the Housekeeping Department.
  • Handle, store, and label all hazardous materials in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Arrive at work in the appropriate uniform, including a name tag, at the scheduled shift time.
  • Adhere to all procedures regarding clocking in and out for work as defined by Temecula Creek Inn.
  • Follow attendance policies regarding tardiness and absences as outlined by Temecula Creek Inn.
  • Maintain the Housekeeping Storage, Office, Supply Areas, and Laundry in a neat and professional manner at all times.
  • Use supplies efficiently to minimize waste.
  • Comply with recycling practices to uphold Temecula Creek Inn's commitment to environmental responsibility.
  • Report all found items to management immediately, following Lost and Found procedures.
  • Promote and adhere to all policies and procedures of Temecula Creek Inn.
  • Immediately report any suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions to management for investigation and follow-up.
  • Consistently practice safe work habits to prevent injury to oneself and others, including compliance with safety rules and regulations and proper use of all relevant equipment.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of all hazardous cleaning agents used by housekeeping staff, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Complete all assigned tasks in alignment with safety procedures as defined by Temecula Creek Inn.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas at all times.
  • Practice safe work habits consistently to avoid injury to oneself and others.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
  • Perform additional tasks, including cross-training, as assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Education: Ability to understand, read, and communicate basic instructions, warning labels, task assignments, and requests in English. Previous experience in a hotel setting is beneficial but not mandatory.

Skills: Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and dependable. Capable of organizing, planning, and managing time effectively to complete all assigned tasks. Ability to interact with others in a professional and courteous manner consistently. Works efficiently both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision. Capable of meeting tight deadlines for job duties. Ability to manage multiple tasks as assigned and monitored by various supervisors. Must adapt quickly to new standards and policy changes reflecting Temecula Creek Inn's commitment to continuous improvement in quality and service.

Physical Requirements: Stands and walks varying distances throughout the shift. Bends, stoops, and reaches to perform routine job tasks. Regularly required to handle and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. over moderate distances. Requires flexibility and good reflexes. Ability to safely operate an electric cart. Frequent use of stairs is expected.
