Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineering Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers in the development of structural design documents and deliverables for various project phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and designers in the development of structural design documents and deliverables for all project phases (conceptual and detailed design, feasibility studies, construction documentation).
  • Prepare design and construction documents for new structures and for structural upgrades to existing facilities as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary A/E team.
  • Develop strong relationships within the region and the Architecture/Engineering Process Practice in support of the Architecture/Engineering Process Practice vision.
  • Assume responsibility for client development, project profiles, strategic project implementation, and organizational planning and leadership.
  • Mentor, nurture, and develop our Pcmc Inc professionals.
  • Develop new electrical engineering engagements and search for new value propositions.
  • Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of twelve years of architecture/engineering facilities structural design experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other industrial manufacturing facilities and processes.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a structural engineering design manager (preferred).
  • Experience in the analysis and design of structures with an emphasis on seismic design.
  • Hands-on experience with structural engineering software such as ETABS, RISA, RAM, STAAD, SAP, Mathcad, and ENERCALC.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT (preferred).
  • Detailed knowledge of building codes and seismic requirements.
  • The ability to present designs to new and existing clients.
  • The ability to lead a structural engineering design team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid written and verbal technical communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations.
  • A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry-related seminars, forums, and conventions.
  • A bachelor of science in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • A master's degree in structural engineering or engineering management (preferred).
  • A professional engineer (PE) license required. SE license preferred.
