Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at DentalEZ. As a key member of our Star Dental team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining our dental handpieces, ensuring safe and reliable production in a lean manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support for maintenance, engineering, and production by troubleshooting, startup, and maintenance of plant assets.
  • Safely perform assigned tasks competently and efficiently.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical and/or electrical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove/replace defective parts by disassembling machinery, using hand/power tools.
  • Assist in controlling downtime by performing routine preventative maintenance requirements, daily equipment inspections, and monitoring machine operational performance.
  • Utilize computer software to track preventative maintenance schedules and tasks.
  • Perform general maintenance activities involving carpentry, material/equipment moving and rigging, painting, plumbing, welding, electrical, grounds-keeping, and other activities.
  • Ability to obtain site fork truck license and safely operate equipment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Specialized training up to and including on-the-job training.
  • Three (3) to 5 years' experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be forklift certified or willing to complete necessary training.
  • Knowledge of various maintenance trades, such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, etc.
  • Familiar with operating power tools.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Physical Requirements
  • Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds, more with assistance.
  • Able to sit, stand and perform repetitive activities for sustained periods of time.
  • Uses hands to type on standard PC keyboard, turn handles on mills, lathes, grinders, and other Tool Room equipment.
