Patient Care Technician

As a Patient Care Technician in our Medical Surgical Unit, you will play a vital role in providing direct clinical and support services to our patients and their families.
Responsibilities:- Perform a variety of delegated patient care interventions, including obtaining vital signs, bathing and feeding, dressing wounds, and assisting with hygiene.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the Medical Surgical department, ensuring quality patient/family clinical outcomes.
- Work cooperatively with all healthcare team members to provide a variety of support services to meet patient, family, and staff needs.
- A high school diploma or GED certificate.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS), including CPR certification.
- Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
- Basic math and computer proficiency.
- One year of previous experience as a Patient Care Technician in an acute hospital setting.
- Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed two cycles of clinical rotation.
- Completed an approved Patient Care Technician training.
- Completed an approved certified medical assistant training.
- One year of previous experience as an EMT or field medic (considered for adult ED positions only).
