We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Breast Health Navigator to join our team at Recruitics JB. As a key member of our breast center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Interface with the breast health team to coordinate all aspects of screening mammography, diagnostic imaging, clinical evaluation, support services, and education for women receiving services at the breast center.
- Provide clinical functions as required in support of breast center services and participate in maintaining a safe, cost-effective patient environment.
- Assist physicians and technologists during all breast interventional procedures, including pre-biopsy assessment, post-biopsy care, and patient follow-up.
- Serve as a liaison between the breast imaging and surgical teams, maintaining effective physician relationships and assessing and assisting patients and their families to identify barriers hindering successful completion of breast evaluation and treatment.
- Track biopsy outcomes, record pathology results, and problem case resolutions, ensuring compliance with JCAHO and CMS standards and regulations.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance initiatives to improve patient outcomes and department efficiency.
- Collaborate with the department manager to achieve departmental and organizational goals, assuming leadership responsibilities as needed.
- Participate in outreach and educational events, helping to fulfill community-assessed needs, and partner with professional community agencies and organizations to achieve improved breast health practices and the well-being of women in our community.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- IV certification and strong computer skills.
- Three years of nursing experience, with oncology and breast health experience preferred.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License and AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
