Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced scientist to join our Translational Development group as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Ophthalmology. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing our understanding of ocular diseases and developing therapeutic strategies for future clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and establish in vivo screening cascades for new ocular therapeutics, including models of retinopathies and glaucoma.
  • Contribute to ongoing pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic research projects, with a focus on mechanistic interrogation of potential drug candidates.
  • Gain diverse experience and understanding of pharmaceutical drug development, including non-clinical ocular imaging, animal handling, and intravitreal injection.
Requirements
  • PhD or master's degree with extensive experience in ophthalmology.
  • Experience with vivarium responsibilities, including non-clinical ocular imaging, animal handling, and intravitreal injection.
  • Basic wet lab skills, including molecular biology and biochemistry techniques such as DNA and RNA extraction, lysate preparation, qPCR, protein quantification, Western blot/WES/JESS, and ELISA.
