Role Overview

The primary function of the Cider Production Associate is to assist the Cider Maker in the effective and high-quality production of our cider products, overseeing processes from fermentation to final packaging. This role is essential in maintaining product standards and ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute cider production tasks as directed by the Cider Maker.
  • Consult with the Cider Maker prior to making any modifications to established procedures.
  • Guarantee quality cider production through diligent execution of cellar operations.
  • Collaborate with the cider making team to produce exceptional cider offerings.
  • Perform various cidery tasks as needed.
  • Seek learning opportunities from the Cider Maker regarding cider production techniques.
  • Ensure all products adhere to quality specifications.
  • Comply with food safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Notify the Senior Cider Maker of any quality issues or discrepancies.
  • Familiarize oneself with the operation of all equipment to maximize performance safely.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary recipes and processes.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules for equipment and inventory.
  • Organize the liquids storage and production areas.
  • Facilitate a seamless workflow from juicing to bottling.
  • Promote a positive team environment to enhance productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience with forklift operation or willingness to obtain necessary certifications.
  • Familiarity with fermentation science is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
  • Proficient in fine manipulation and reaching tasks.
  • Ability to assess product quality through sensory evaluation.
  • Experience handling hazardous materials and operating machinery safely.
Work Environment

The Cider Production Associate will primarily work in production areas, often exposed to damp conditions, hot liquids, and various machinery. Protective eyewear is mandatory in production zones.
