About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT professional to join our team as an Application Engineer. As a key member of our Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) team, you will be responsible for providing technical analytical and application development support for payroll and other human resources modules of the State's Oracle PeopleSoft HCM system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve user issues related to the PeopleSoft system
  • Design and develop reports and interfaces to support business needs
  • Implement newly delivered functionality and custom solutions
  • Perform technical impact analysis and apply scheduled system maintenance and upgrades

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer technology or related field
  • Two or more years of experience as an IT professional providing application development and analysis services
  • Knowledge of or training in the PeopleSoft Toolset, including PeopleTools, SQR, SQL, Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, XML Publisher, and REST integration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project leadership and planning skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical team members, users, and those with little or no technical knowledge
