Addictions Specialist

Overview:

Muncie Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) offers outpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older of all genders who are struggling with opioid use disorder. The center, which is located in Muncie, IN, provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT).

Counseling is another important component at our MAT center in Muncie, Indiana, where we provide individual and group counseling. Part-time Addictions Physician - 6am-2:30pm with flexible Schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical services to patients, including prescribing, dispensing, and administration of medication for the treatment of substance abuse in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
• Conduct complete physicals, provide treatment, and counsel patients.
• Provide medical oversight to the nursing department under the guidance of the Medical Director and Clinic Director.
• Ensure that all patients are aware of the hazards of the medication treatment program.
• Evaluate patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results, and patient feedback.
• Provide patient and staff education on medical maintenance.
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic policy and procedure.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) from an accredited college or university.
• Previous experience in a substance use (SUD) treatment program preferred.
• No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current license to practice medicine by the state in which the clinic(s) operates.
• Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification preferred.
• Current DEA credentials required to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
