Job Summary:

Horizon House is seeking a part-time Psychiatric Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Services Division. As a key member of our team, you will provide and assist in coordinating the behavioral and physical health care needs of program participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide and assist team members in coordinating the behavioral and physical health care needs of program participants.
  • Collaborate with the Director, program psychiatrist, and physical health doctor to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote stability and independence.
  • Conduct crisis interventions and manage aggression in emergency situations.

Requirements:

  • Licensed RN/LPN in the State of PA.
  • Prior experience in community mental health and/or substance abuse treatment settings.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric clinical and psychosocial rehabilitation practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good writing and computer skills for documenting in an electronic health record.
  • Team oriented, detail oriented, and strong organizational and analytic skills.
