Job Title: Quality Control Inspector A

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector A to join our team at Dassault Aviation.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspector A will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and safety of aircraft by performing inspections, testing, and evaluating the quality of aircraft components and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complete major inspections of aircraft, components, and systems to determine airworthiness and safety.
  • Apply technical knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, sheetmetal, rigging, instruments, and test flights to determine and sign off safety and airworthiness.
  • Conduct conformity inspections of components, major assemblies, and sub-assemblies to determine safety and conformance to standards and requirements.
  • Interpret and check prints, engineering change orders, and governmental regulatory procedures and specifications.
  • Determine the extent of work to be performed where no specifications, regulations, or written standards are available.
  • Use precision measuring guides, gauges, and laboratory instruments.
  • Prepare necessary aircraft-related FAA, customer, or company documents.
  • Complete and maintain reports and records as required.
  • Accurately enter electronic data related to aircraft production, completion, and installation operations.
  • Suggest dispositions of damaged or worn parts and the possibility of salvage based on FAA/EASA regulations, company practices, or procedures.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Airframe certificate.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance of aircraft.
  • Experience with FAR 145 Repair Station and FAR 43 Maintenance.
  • Able to read and understand structural and avionic drawings, schematics, test procedures, etc.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to prepare detailed reports.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Critical thinking, logic, and analytical skills.
  • Pro-active and team-oriented.
  • Able to walk up and down steps with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to walk long distances, climb, stand, and kneel for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Pass vision testing, minimum 20/20 corrected, and with no limitations in color perception.
  • Write and speak clearly and intelligently in English.
  • Able to access confined areas.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, Type Certificate Data Sheet, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, etc.
  • Able to work in a high noise environment (jet engines, air tools, etc.) with or without reasonable accommodation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate degree in aerospace field.
  • FCC license.
  • ISO 9000 familiarization and/or training.
  • Powerplant License.
