Dietary Cook with Experience in Healthcare Settings

Coronado Ridge Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a dedicated Dietary Cook to enhance our culinary team. Key Responsibilities:

The Dietary Cook plays a crucial role in supporting all culinary operations as directed, adhering to established food service protocols.

Primary Duties:
  • Review special diet trays to confirm the correct meals are provided to residents.
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks, including forms and reports, for submission to the Food Services Director.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate food service effectively.
  • Work alongside the facility's dietitian to implement dietary recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all food service policies and procedures.
  • Prepare meals according to planned menus.
  • Ensure meals are visually appealing and palatable.
  • Serve food in accordance with portion control guidelines.
  • Prepare therapeutic diets as per planned menus.
  • Follow standardized recipes and special dietary orders for food preparation.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to prepare a variety of foods in large quantities.
  • Prior experience as a Cook is essential.

  • Knowledge of food service procedures is required.
