Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Spiritual Care Manager to oversee the delivery of effective spiritual care services across our continuum of care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and coaching chaplains, providing direct spiritual care, and collaborating with our Director of Spiritual Care to develop and implement best practices in spiritual care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the spiritual care team in providing high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Develop and implement spiritual care programs and services that meet the needs of our patients and families
  • Collaborate with our Director of Spiritual Care to develop and implement best practices in spiritual care
  • Provide direct spiritual care to patients and families as needed
  • Manage and coach chaplains to ensure they are providing high-quality spiritual care
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions
Requirements
  • Master of Divinity or equivalent degree from an accredited seminary or divinity school
  • Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) via one of the following licensing groups: APC, CASC, NACC, or NAJC
  • At least three years of professional team/project leadership experience
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience managing projects and process improvement initiatives in the area of spiritual care or a related field
  • Pastoral experience required; at least one year of experience in a healthcare ministry preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong aptitude in project leadership, process improvement, budgetary management, and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to effectively manage and facilitate colleagues within assigned unit/department
  • Ability to influence results, garner support, and tactfully manage complex relationships and influences within and across the organization
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing deadlines and priorities, and travel within the local community up to 25% of the time.
