As a Tax Manager or Senior Manager in our Real Estate practice, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team at one of the world's top tax firms. Our team provides tax services to high-profile clients, helping them understand, analyze, and respond to complex business opportunities and challenges.

As a Tax Manager or Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of real estate clients of varying size and scope. You will act as the point of contact for internal and external clients, building and handling client relationships by advising them and being responsible for delivering high-quality tax service and advice.

You will work as part of a cross-functional account team for your clients, which may cross audit, tax, and advisory. You will manage and empower teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects.

Additionally, you will oversee the financial performance of your client engagements, including billing, collections, and the budget for projects. You will advise clients and be responsible for delivering high-quality tax service and advice.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:
As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing risk for KPMG and our clients by understanding the technical tax aspects of various reporting positions.

Minimum five years of recent experience as a tax manager with a public accounting firm; partnership tax experience in the financial services industry specific to real estate and real estate private equity funds is required. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is also required. Proficiency in the taxation of REITs, partnerships, and other flow-through entities is necessary.

Exceptional skills in reviewing 1120-REIT and 1065 tax returns, including complex partner allocations, are required. Excellent research and writing skills, as well as applied working knowledge of REIT and partnership tax regulations and ASC 740, are also necessary.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:
Minimum eight years of recent experience as a tax manager with a public accounting firm; partnership tax experience in the financial services industry specific to real estate and real estate private equity funds is required.
