Role Summary:

As the Public Relations SME, you will spearhead strategic communication initiatives for biometric identity services, playing a pivotal role in shaping public relations strategies and developing diverse multimedia content. Your contributions will be essential in aligning communication efforts with mission objectives and engaging stakeholders across various government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution of public relations and strategic communication strategies related to biometric identity services, ensuring alignment with critical mission goals.
  • Design and implement comprehensive communication and public affairs plans, including tailored messaging for diverse audiences, presentations, and digital content.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate public relations strategies, prepare key talking points, and support significant events such as conferences and media engagements.
  • Oversee the creation of both print and digital content, including press releases, fact sheets, and social media updates.
  • Act as a liaison between government stakeholders and the contractor team, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide leadership in public affairs initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality content that meets government standards.
  • Uphold our commitment to excellence and continuous growth.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations or communications, particularly in support of government programs.
  • Proficient in creating multimedia content for various platforms, including press releases and social media.
  • Comprehensive understanding of government communication protocols, especially regarding biometric identity services.
  • Experience collaborating with interagency stakeholders across departments such as DHS, Department of Justice, and Department of Defense.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-impact communication projects involving complex biometric identity services.
  • Possession of an active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS-SCI) access.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with DHS Public Affairs Office procedures and protocols.
