Job Title: CT Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Darien, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform computed tomography procedures using General Electric Revolution, Lightspeed, Brightspeed, and HD750 Computerized Tomography Systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and CT procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform computed tomography procedures according to established operating procedures, clinical protocols, and imaging techniques.
  • Address minor customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of inpatients and outpatients to ensure efficient utilization of CT equipment and personnel.
  • Perform Quality Assurance Tests on CT equipment to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance.
  • Obtain patient history and other relevant clinical information, and document all patient information on appropriate forms.
  • Prepare images and clinical information for interpretation by a radiologist.
  • Start IVs using appropriate technique, prepare and administer contrast material, and monitor patient condition during the CT procedure.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Radiologic Technology program.
  • 2 hours of stroke education per year.
  • ARRT Registry (RT).
  • IDNS License.
  • CPR.
  • IV Certification within 3 months of date of hire.
  • CT Registration within 1 year of date of hire.
Working Conditions:
  • Able to respond to requests to work on short notice.
  • Flexible in starting times to meet demand.
  • Exposed to infectious diseases.
  • Must take call.
  • Willing to work overtime when requested.
