Compensation Range: $65,000 - $70,000

Our initiatives are interconnected, and the Project Coordinator may be assigned to various projects based on the evolving needs of the organization. All team members are expected to engage in knowledge management that promotes equity and enhances community expertise.

Key Responsibilities

The Early Childhood Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating the successful execution of a variety of projects aligned with the foundation's early childhood initiatives. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of projects under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, track progress, and ensure timely task completion.
  • Maintaining standardized processes and resources to streamline project workflows, including the use of project management tools.
  • Identifying potential risks or dependencies and proposing effective solutions.
  • Collecting and analyzing project data to evaluate impact and effectiveness, supporting ongoing improvement efforts.
  • Ensuring accountability for all project-related documentation.
  • Communicating proactively and following up on project commitments.
  • Managing project inboxes and liaising with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Delegating tasks to team members when appropriate.
  • Preparing and distributing project-related materials.
  • Participating in internal workgroups to promote collaboration across initiatives.
Event Coordination
  • Assisting in the organization and execution of internal and external events, including logistics coordination and on-site support.
  • Preparing and distributing event materials such as agendas, presentations, and signage.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues.
  • Ensuring the smooth execution of engaging and impactful events.
Administrative Support
  • Coordinating administrative support for meetings, including scheduling and supply management.
  • Taking notes during meetings, summarizing key takeaways, next steps, and decisions.
  • Assisting in the management of project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with financial goals.
  • Maintaining organized records of project-related information to enhance accessibility and knowledge sharing.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant project management role.
  • Proven project management abilities, including meeting deadlines through effective resource identification and prioritization.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in gathering and centering user feedback in project design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to convey information accurately and listen effectively.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data effectively.
  • Familiarity with project management software (Asana preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CAPM or Agile certification in project management.
  • Knowledge of PMBOK and standard project management methodologies.
  • Experience with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and/or Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Remote work experience.
  • Passion for early childhood education and equity-focused approaches.
  • Experience in the social and human services sector is preferred.

Work Environment

This position is designated as "Local," requiring regular commuting to attend in-person meetings and events. The organization may adopt hybrid operating practices in the future, necessitating more in-person work. Telework requires reliable high-speed internet access, and the organization provides necessary equipment for remote work.
