Job Title: Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Hunt Valley, MD. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating and checking structural analysis and design calculations, preparing construction plan sets, and engineer's estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural engineering design tasks through application of AASHTO LRFD specifications and design-oriented computer programs
  • Assist in the preparation of bridge project documentation, including plan sets, specifications, and engineering estimates
  • Construction documentation reviews
  • Interaction and collaboration with various engineering disciplines and other consultants
  • Attend internal and external project meetings
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering with concentration in structures from a 4-year accredited university
  • 5 to 10+ years of AASHTO LRFD bridge structural design, bridge load rating, bridge inspection, and rehabilitation design experience
  • Experience using MicroStation and proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including WORD and EXCEL
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS in Civil Engineering
  • Formal Project Management Training
  • Proficiency with MathCAD
  • Licensed Engineer in the state of Maryland
