Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our Platform Team, you will be responsible for providing platform support for Walmart's ecommerce and other pillars. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the cutting edge of technology and push the boundaries of innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex maintenance procedures for applications independently.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics.
  • Perform maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities.
  • Analyze application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provide analysis.
  • Evaluate change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting large scale, highly available, production environment applications.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud and operations concepts.
  • Ability to understand customer issues and resolve them.
  • Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise systems and applications.
  • Experience in supporting eComm applications is a huge plus.
  • Cognizant of tools for CI/CD, observability, service mesh, and transparent integration with existing services such as GSLB.
  • Knowledge on dashboarding, monitoring, alerting and automation of alert resolution.
  • Possess practical Linux systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, decision-making, communication and interpersonal skills, and should be a team player.
