Crisis Residential Unit Nurse

Job Summary:
The Crisis Residential Unit LPN is a key associate at Hope Network New Passages, responsible for providing direct client care for adults with serious mental illness in a 24/7 licensed facility. This role involves coordinating and providing care, collaborating with internal and external providers, and managing pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-call nursing services and respond to emergency situations, 24/7, as assigned.
- Provide professional customer service and support the engagement of meaningful activities.
- Document all encounters and contacts made on behalf of persons served, within designated timeframes.
- Assist with the assessment of physical, functional, and psychological needs of persons served.
- Collaborate with the registered nurse and psychiatric prescriber to ensure good outcomes for persons served.
- Participate in the development of Treatment Plans and provide referral to appropriate community resources.
- Maintain accurate records and confidentiality pertaining to persons served.
- Monitor persons served progress toward health care related goal achievements.
- Identify emergency crises and participate in immediate clinical assessments and response.
- Manage pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, and assist with health screenings and health assessments.
Requirements:
- State of Michigan LPN licensure.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record according to HN corporate policy.
- Preferred one or more years of psychiatric nursing experience.
- Ability to demonstrate good moral character and even temperament necessary to gain and maintain credibility and trust of persons served and co-workers.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in verbal and written formats to meet position requirements.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn, the use of technological advances that include, but are not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet, fax/copy machines, cell phones, etc.
- Ability to work independently with flexible hours including occasional nights, holidays or weekends to ensure highest level of care for persons served.
Work Schedule: 24 hours including every other weekend.
