About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Safety Advisor to join our team at the Australian Submarine Corporation. As a key member of our Product Safety Team, you will play a critical role in implementing our Product Safety Management Plan and ensuring the safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations into product safety incidents and issues
  • Represent the Product Safety Team in the WHSE Committee and SICT
  • Provide leadership and support to drive continuous improvement in product safety across the team and business
  • Perform systematic proactive reviews of the application of policies, procedures, and evidence related to product safety
Requirements
  • Relevant Graduate Diploma or Trade in Engineering, Quality or Safety fields
  • Proven experience in leading/mentoring teams in a complex engineering environment
  • Familiar with or trained ICAM Investigator or similar qualifications
  • Previous experience relating to the conduct of audit and/or technical investigations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of technical systems of work, quality assurance standards, and change management processes
