Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge and Roadway Construction Inspector to join our team at Consor Engineers. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with contract documents and industry standards.
  • Conduct field tests to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
  • Make engineering computations for pay estimates and ensure accurate payment to contractors.
  • Collaborate with project administrators and senior inspectors to develop and implement quality control plans.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of road and bridge construction operations, including materials, methods, and best practices.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent, plus two years of experience in construction inspection, with at least one year in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.
  • Ability to obtain TXDOT Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP) certifications within six months of employment, including:
    • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
    • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
    • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
    • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
    • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
    • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
    • FDOT Intermediate MOT
    • Nuclear Radiation Safety
    • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
    • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
