Job Title: Design Engineer

Compunnel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing innovative fiber optic hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative fiber optic hardware solutions.
  • Create 3D models and prototypes to demonstrate functionality and appearance.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews to contribute ideas and feedback.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation and presentation materials.
  • Train and advise on best practices for Visual Language, Design Thinking, and UX/UI.
  • Execute packaging and label graphics that meet current standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of product development experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (experience with CREO preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey design intent clearly.
  • Attention to detail and high standards for craftsmanship.
  • Familiarity with sustainability principles and UX design is a plus.
Skills for Success:
  • Expert proficiency in Key Shot and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles.
  • Strong digital sketching and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to approach problems creatively and challenge the status quo.
  • Effective organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Work Environment:
  • Office setting with regular computer and phone usage.
  • Light physical effort, including occasional lifting of lightweight materials.
  • Infrequent visits to manufacturing facilities and labs, requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).
