About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our Gas Services division, you will play a critical role in developing innovative solutions for the modernization and repair of customer-owned power generation equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess customer-owned large synchronous generators and exciters, identifying opportunities for modernization or repair.
  • Develop detailed design assessments, analysis, and engineering instructions to support manufacturing operations associated with new manufacture and service repair of generator and exciter products.
  • Provide technical advice and co-operative problem-solving to support design improvements and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Perform reverse engineering to support a wide range of customers and their equipment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university/college.
  • 5+ years of related engineering work experience, with a focus on synchronous generator rotor and exciter experience.
  • Excellent communication skills across audiences, including customers, engineering, management, and manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience in learning new software and IT tools, with experience in SAP or Teamcenter a plus.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
