KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all patrons, ensuring adherence to Paris Baguette's excellence standards.
  • Inspect product quality for display and manage the rotation of pastries and desserts.
  • Prepare beverages based on customer demand during operating hours and brew coffee.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the café while serving customers.
  • Restock and organize pastries and beverages on display.
  • Work with a sense of urgency, integrity, and efficiency.
  • Assist guests with inquiries and provide information about menu items and promotions.
  • Operate the POS system (Toast) with precision in cash handling and credit card transactions.
  • Be open to learning about our quality products and specialty menu offerings.
  • Engage with guests by making eye contact, smiling, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Recognize that the guest experience is our top priority.
  • Guide guests in their order decisions and enhance their experience through suggestive selling.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor and be ready to assist guests and team members alike.
  • Perform specific roles as needed, including:
    • Barista: A vital role in crafting high-quality brewed beverages for our guests.
    • POS Operator: Interact with guests to create a warm and inviting café experience.
    • Greeter: Welcome guests and direct them to the appropriate areas.
    • Merchandiser: Ensure attractive and plentiful displays of our bakery products.
    • Pick-Up Specialist: Ensure timely preparation and packaging of orders for pickup and delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2 years of experience in retail, customer service, or food handling preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED or some college education preferred.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Positive attitude and passion for customer service.
  • Strong sense of integrity and ownership.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Adherence to food safety standards.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast, and cash handling accuracy.
  • Ability to receive and act on feedback for continuous improvement.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to work well with diverse teams.
