Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and experienced Permanent Superintendent with expertise in Ground Up, Commercial, Interior, and Light-Industrial Construction. This pivotal role requires a proactive, hands-on leader capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities:
The Permanent Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all site operations, ensuring compliance with project plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Coordinating and supervising construction activities, directing on-site personnel, and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensuring project schedules are met while identifying and resolving potential delays.
  • Maintaining strict safety protocols to foster a secure work environment.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and uphold quality standards.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, and other construction professionals.
  • Resolving conflicts, discrepancies, or challenges that occur during the construction process.
  • Maintaining effective communication with the project team, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all work complies with company standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Superintendent role should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the construction industry, particularly in Retail, Commercial, Interior, and Light-Industrial Construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving project objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capacity to foresee and mitigate potential issues before they escalate.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective liaison with various stakeholders.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and technology.
  • A relevant degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification or training in health and safety management is advantageous.
  • The ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A valid driver's license may be necessary for travel to construction sites.
