Seeking Construction Assistant Superintendent in Aventura, Florida with Multi Family experience.

Duties:

  • Responsible for the daily operations of the project, including scheduling and coordination of material, tools, equipment, safety accessories, subcontractors and field personnel relative to the specific construction phase
  • Responsible for implementation of contract documents and achievement of quality, schedule, and safety and budget requirements.
  • Ensures costs, crew and use of equipment achieves project and company standards.
  • Assist the general superintendent in scheduling of subcontractors and materials.
  • Assist Superintendent in overseeing each stage of project
  • Communicate daily and weekly with the Superintendent Project Manager to keep the managers apprised of progress of project and associated issues or problems that may affect progress.
  • Ensure the project is being built in accordance with the approved plans, 3rd party consultant recommendations, and or industry standards.
  • Monitor the day to day activities of the subcontractor on site, paying close attention to trade progress in the buildings.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 2 years experience in Multi-Family

Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, construction procedures, estimating, and scheduling practices.

A demonstrated understanding of construction means and methods associated with the construction of multi-family projects

A working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work

The ability to effectively communicate both in the English written and spoken word

Proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industry
