Job Description
">About the Role:
">We are looking for a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to work as part of our multidisciplinary team, providing expert care to patients with orthopedic conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in splinting and orthotics, with the ability to design and fabricate custom splints and UE orthotics.
">Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to identify individualized treatment plans, including physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest.">
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement customized treatment plans to address specific patient needs, promoting maximum independence and participation in daily activities.">
- Therapy Delivery: Provide occupational therapy services to patients, including splinting, orthotics, and other interventions as needed.">
- Education and Training: Supervise students and COTAs as needed, ensuring they receive high-quality training and mentorship.">
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate records of patient progress, consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals as necessary, and contribute to patient care conferences.">
- Clinical Practice: Uphold safe working practices, adhering to infection control guidelines and maintaining confidentiality.">
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments, attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in relevant professional societies.">
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management for splinting and patient needs, ensuring timely ordering and stock levels.">
- Maintenance and Reporting: Perform regular maintenance tasks and report any issues or concerns to the Occupational Therapy Lead.">
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.">
- Licensure: Current state licensure through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Allied Health Division of Professional Licensure.">
- Certification: CPR certification.">
- Experience: Strong hand therapy and orthopedic experience, comfort with splinting, CHT preferred.">
- Skills: Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, policies, procedures, and other regulatory policies. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.">
