Job Title: Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a leading healthcare facility in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide direct care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in the PICU, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to critically ill patients in the PICU, including monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and performing advanced nursing procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their loved ones' care.
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • A Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)).
  • Must have Passed the NCLEX-RN exam to become a licensed registered nurse (RN) or Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Specialized training or certification in pediatric critical care nursing, including certification from a recognized nursing organization such as the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
