Position Overview:
This role is a part-time appointment within the University of California, focusing on advanced Nuclear Medicine procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, the Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist will:
1. Conduct routine to complex Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radioactive materials and pharmaceuticals in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
2. Perform radionuclide imaging of various organs and systems, along with assays of body fluids and tissues.
3. Demonstrate expertise in Nuclear Medicine imaging techniques and principles of radiation safety.
4. Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring adherence to established protocols for optimal image quality.
5. Educate patients, gather medical histories, and relay pertinent information to the Radiologist.
6. Enter complex data into computer systems and review images to ensure both technical and image quality standards are met.
7. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A California Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
- A Certified Nuclear Medicine Technician license from NMTCB or a Registered Technologist for Nuclear Medicine Technology from ARRT (R.T(N)(ARRT)).
- BART or BLS certification at the time of hire, with a commitment to obtain BART within six months of hire.
- Recent graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program.
- Relevant experience in a similar role or recent graduation from an approved Nuclear Medicine technology program.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have:
- Knowledge of various radiological systems, including PACS and RIS.
- At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.

Special Conditions:
- Flexibility to work at various locations based on operational needs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as necessary.

Compensation:
The annual full pay range for this position is $115,111 - $152,069, prorated based on appointment percentage. The hourly equivalent is approximately $72.83. Compensation factors include experience, skills, education, licensure, and organizational needs.
