About the Role

This is a Casual position (Per Diem) working 8 hour varied shifts with call requirements, weekend coverage. We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista.

Responsibilities

  • Perform imaging procedures using nuclear medicine equipment, including positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scans.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications as required.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • CA Certified Nuclear Med Tech (CNMT) certification.
  • Venipuncture skills.
  • Completion of a formal training/educational program in an approved school of Radiology Technology.
  • Imaging experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years' experience in nuclear medicine or a related field.
