The Position:

We are looking for a Risk Management Strategy Analyst to join our Business Operations team. This pivotal role will collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer and the Risk Leadership team to define success metrics and create a strategic roadmap for advancing SoFi's Independent Risk Management initiatives. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the Director of Business Operations and the broader Risk leadership team, showcasing your expertise in strategy formulation, analytical assessment, financial modeling, and cross-functional project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Chief Risk Officer and the Independent Risk Management team with essential business management and risk strategy projects.
  • Generate quarterly reports analyzing macroeconomic trends and summarizing key risk factors.
  • Facilitate the execution of both long-term and short-term strategies for Independent Risk Management.
  • Lead the implementation of projects and initiatives as an internal risk consultant, effectively managing scope, resources, and timelines.
  • Support regulatory compliance and examination processes related to risk deliverables.
  • Enhance accountability within the Risk organization by designing operational rhythms that align strategy with execution and performance management.
  • Create impactful presentations that communicate critical risk insights to leadership and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with Business Operations counterparts across various units to standardize processes such as quarterly planning and board presentations.
  • Contribute to SoFi's growth by working closely with Corporate Development on the evaluation of potential strategic assets.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in management consulting, strategic roles within financial services, or risk management.
  • Proven ability to analyze challenges and opportunities, develop strategies, and manage projects to completion.
  • Strong storytelling skills, utilizing data to inform strategy and execution.
  • High emotional intelligence to foster relationships across diverse teams and levels.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive mindset with strong analytical capabilities and sound business judgment.
  • Willingness to engage in all aspects of the role, including less glamorous tasks.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to advocate for your recommendations.
  • Commitment to learning and contributing to our mission of helping members achieve financial wellness.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Comfortable defining and overseeing both business and technical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in producing economic outlook reports or white papers.
  • Background in the Fintech sector.
  • MBA degree.
Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is outlined below. The final salary offer will be determined based on individual qualifications, experience, and location.

Pay range: $99,000 - $186,000
