Job Title: Rocket Propulsion Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Rocket Propulsion Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Engines business unit, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of rocket propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop turbomachinery components for rocket engines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate propulsion systems into launch vehicles
  • Conduct testing and analysis to ensure system performance and reliability
  • Develop and implement quality management systems to support aerospace and propulsion-related hardware
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in turbomachinery component design, development, and/or test support
  • Strong knowledge of hardware fabrication and quality control
  • Proficiency in data analysis and post-processing to assess component health
  • Fundamental knowledge of turbomachinery component design and manufacturing
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, including proficiency in GD&T
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Experience with quality management systems supporting aerospace and propulsion-related hardware
  • Experience transitioning products from development to production
  • Experience with product production, qualification testing, and flight operations
