Retail Department Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Department Coordinator to lead our customer experience team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience, overseeing a team of associates, and ensuring prompt and courteous customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Experience: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
- Team Leadership: Oversees a team of associates at the front of store, ensuring they are trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Training and Development: Takes an active role in training and mentoring associates on front-end principles, including personalizing the customer experience and promoting loyalty programs.
- Operational Excellence: Assigns registers, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, and coordinates breaks for all associates.
- Problem Resolution: Addresses customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Store Operations: Ensures associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan, prioritizing as needed.
- Communication: Communicates accurately and effectively with management and associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provides progress updates.
- Recognition and Feedback: Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback.
- Partnerships: Partners with management on associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
- Compliance: Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Program Promotion: Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
- Shrink Reduction: Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
- Safety Awareness: Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
- Availability: Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Merchandising Knowledge: Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
- Multi-Tasking: Capable of multi-tasking.
- Communication and Organization: Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Teamwork: Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Training: Able to train others.
- Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
