Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Illinois Employer. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and diagnose issues with company vehicles and equipment
  • Remove and replace units, and rebuild small components as needed
  • Make service calls, complete required documents, and account for materials used in accordance with the work order system
  • Work independently and perform shift duties as needed
  • Perform duties of the classification and other duties as assigned or required
Requirements
  • At least three years of previous diesel/gas/CNG experience and/or technical training
  • Good work history and ability to work independently
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license with passenger and air brake endorsements, and air conditioning certification
  • Ability to read/follow blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals, and operate test equipment
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds to waist height, maintain, and carry that weight for a minimum of ten feet
