Job Description

A career opportunity exists at Arete Associates for a skilled Senior Scientist, Radar and SAR to join our team. The selected candidate will contribute to the development of innovative solutions in Radar and SAR Exploitation.

Radar and SAR Exploitation Opportunities

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Physical Science and Applied Math, with experience in Radar systems development, signal and image processing, detection/estimation theory, algorithm development, software development, data analysis and modeling, and simulation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and develop activities focused on passive and active RF sensor technology exploitation.
  • Develop novel solutions, significant enhancements, and efficient implementations of signal processing algorithms for challenging mission applications.
  • Implement prototype solutions in software, utilizing the latest data exploitation techniques, including machine learning techniques.
  • Develop simulations and performance models that enable trade studies for radar systems.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in physics, mathematics, or a related field, or a BS or MS with several years of relevant experience.
  • Experience programming in Python, MATLAB, C, C++, or similar languages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teams.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
