About the RoleThis mid- to senior-level position requires strong Physical Science and/or Applied Math background in Radar and SAR Exploitation. You will conduct research, develop activities, and focus on passive and active RF sensor technology exploitation for IC and DoD customers.
Responsibilities- Conduct research and develop novel solutions for challenging mission applications, with initial focus on SAR systems.
- Develop algorithm and concept design for ground-based, shipboard, airborne, and space-based RF systems.
- Implement prototype solutions in software, utilizing latest data exploitation techniques (including machine learning techniques).
- Develop simulations and performance models that enable trade studies for radar systems.
- Support radar initiatives across multiple business areas.
- Brief technical solutions to customers and peer groups as necessary.
We are seeking candidates with a PhD degree in physics, mathematics, or a related field, or a BS/MS with several years of relevant experience. Must have experience in Radar systems development, signal processing, detection/estimation theory, algorithm development, software development, data analysis, and modeling/simulation. Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C, C++, or similar languages is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $165,000, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Areté considers several factors when extending an offer of employment.
