As a Lead Software Engineer specializing in Endpoint Solutions at Tanium, you will be responsible for developing and sustaining top-tier services that drive our product offerings within a dynamic development team. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain Tanium's endpoint services in collaboration with an agile development team.
- Work alongside our frontend and backend teams to conceptualize, create, and evaluate new product ideas from inception, engaging with product management for valuable feedback.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Computer Science degree.
- Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in the industry, with 5 years preferred.
- Proven experience in designing and constructing impactful, high-performance, scalable, observable, and maintainable backend services and APIs.
- Advanced proficiency in C, C++ (commonly referred to as "Systems" Languages).
- Experience in developing applications for Windows, Linux, and Mac environments.
- Familiarity with metrics-driven development methodologies (e.g., Prometheus).
- Experience in building data processing pipelines for real-time data handling.
- Proficient with contemporary software engineering practices and automation tools such as git and CI/CD pipelines.

Compensation and Benefits:
The annual base salary range for this full-time role is between $115,000 and $350,000. This range serves as an estimate for what Tanium may offer a new hire. The actual annual base salary may be adjusted based on various factors, including but not limited to location, education, skills, training, and experience.
In addition to a competitive base salary, team members will receive equity awards and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision plans, family planning benefits, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, transportation savings accounts, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching, life and disability coverage, business travel accident insurance, employee assistance programs, and other wellness benefits.
