Job Overview

Cedars of Marin is dedicated to providing exceptional day programs and residential services for adults with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to foster creative, productive, and fulfilling lives for nearly 200 individuals across Marin County, who engage in various artistic and community-oriented activities.

Cedars is in search of a Human Resources Generalist to facilitate the daily operations of the HR department and support various organizational functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and planning abilities, adeptness in managing competing priorities, innovative problem-solving skills, and a genuine compassion for others.

This is a full-time, on-site role with a compensation rate of $32 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support HR functions and ensure smooth operational processes.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite proficiently and adapt to various databases; familiarity with Workable and Paylocity is advantageous.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
  • Prepare business correspondence, reports, and apply basic business mathematics.
  • Provide leadership and coaching, while employing resourceful problem-solving techniques.
  • Exhibit strong empathy and interpersonal skills; experience with adults with developmental disabilities is beneficial.
  • Meet the physical requirements of the role, including passing an employment physical and TB test.
  • Maintain a valid DMV driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Obtain CPR and First Aid certifications, or be willing to pursue them.
  • Pass a criminal background check conducted by the FBI and DOJ.
  • Possess a positive attitude and a good sense of humor.
