Process Controls Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Controls Specialist to join our plant maintenance team at Leprino Foods. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing control issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to optimize equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair control issues, including VFDs and motors
  • Perform PLC program change requests and modify existing PLC programs as requested from production
  • Perform preventative maintenance to optimize equipment reliability
  • Follow-up on completed control work and assist maintenance as needed
  • Train end-users and maintenance personnel on new controls designs
  • Assist in commissioning new controls
  • Update drawings as required and forward all equipment information to the planner/scheduler
Requirements
  • Two (2) years of previous experience with process controls
  • Associates or Two-year electrical/electronic technical degree OR two years of experience in industrial control system development and troubleshooting
  • Basic knowledge of process equipment and operations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Controls Systems or Electrical Engineering
  • Dairy/food manufacturing experience and knowledge of government and industrial regulations (PSM, OSHA, and USDA)
  • Four (4) years of experience in troubleshooting and commissioning all types of process instrumentation, and advanced ability to troubleshoot system problems
Physical Responsibilities
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs to 60"
  • This role requires daily stair climbs
