Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an Allen Bradley PLC / HMI Programmer to enhance our capabilities in the dynamic oil and gas market. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in programming automation and control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and RTUs, within various operational settings. This position involves direct collaboration with clients to ascertain their automation needs and delivering tailored programming solutions.

The responsibilities include:

  • Designing, planning, and managing the installation of automation systems.
  • Conducting start-up and commissioning activities.
  • Providing comprehensive documentation for all automation and control systems.
  • Performing instrumentation calibrations, loop tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Implementing communication installations and SCADA integration.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable, and eager to learn, with the ability to adapt to various job functions and responsibilities. Projects may involve well-pad installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations at compressor stations and disposal facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, RSLogix 500, 5000).
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Servo Control and VFD Drives.
  • HMI programming skills (PanelView, PanelView Plus, RSView).
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • A willingness to engage enthusiastically in assignments and take ownership of tasks.
  • Collaboration with senior engineering personnel to ensure design specifications are met.
  • Familiarity with Wonderware and programming MicroLogix & Compact Logix PLCs.

Experience Requirements:

At least five years of experience in programming PLCs, HMIs, and RTUs is essential. Previous project management experience is required, along with a background in oil and gas field automation, instrumentation, and process controls. A two-year associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, or Process Controls is preferred.
