About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Controls Systems Engineer to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our Data Center Engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems for our global data centers.

Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining electrical controls systems, including PLC programming, technical writing, and electrical schematic interpretation. You will work closely with our stakeholders, including Sr and Principle MEP Engineering, Product and Program managers, and Operations, to create and iterate upon our AWS Infrastructure Automation products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and program automation sequences, mechanical plant strategies, and complex environmental and electrical concepts.
  • Design and develop electrical controls systems, including PLC programming, technical writing, and electrical schematic interpretation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction, commissioning, development engineers, MEP/ACS engineers, and team managers, to accomplish initiative goals on time.
  • Lead and facilitate collaboration through multiple teams to accomplish initiative goals on time.
  • Manage and prioritize requests for information on new construction builds, existing site facilities support, and legacy site enhancement projects.
